This would be a good blade for a medium-to-large sized puukko knife. The ricasso (the squared portion ar the base of the blade) is not traditional, but does make it easier to get a tight fit between the base of the blade and the bolster/guard, which is important because you don’t want any moisture getting inside your handle.
